Rockin' the precincts!

I talked to Kathleen and Greg about this on Friday, and the consensus was that this might
make a good CIC project for this semester-it has varying levels of participation, doesn't
take incredibly specialized skills, and would serve as a  nice outlet for people's
election anxiety.  I'd like to set up an election-night rideshare to the polls.

It seems like it should break down into a few steps.

Step 1-Gather together info we can distribute to make sure everyone knows WHERE their
polling place is.  Is Google's ready yet?

Step 2-we gather up our volunteers, including information on how many trips they can
take/people they can fit in their respective vehicles, what times, etc.  Perhaps assign a
few contact people to help coordinate on election night...

Step 3-find out who needs a ride, where they live, and how many cars we will need to get
them there.

In general, most people won't be more than a mile from their polling places, but early
November isn't great strolling weather, especially in the evening.  Also, it's important
that the nonpartisan intentions of this project are clear.

So, that's its.  Who's in?  I'm out of town this weekend (Friday through Sunday
afternoon) but I'd like to get started ASAP.  Let me know if you're interested.
