We are seeking a passionate people to fulfill two openings for immediate start with the company's roll of Web Project Manager and a Client Support Specialist to be a part of our growing, values-driven business. Work Environment ifPeople is a social enterprise with a loft office in the King Historic District of Atlanta and values-driven clients throughout North America. We are a carbon-neutral business that strives to make a positive contribution to our communities. The business is entrepreneurial, young and growing. Our office is an intense collaborative environment, yet we have fun together, including group lunches and outings. Software development is completed by creating an integrated team of our US staff with teams of developers based in Latin America (about 20 total). Work is in English, though Spanish language skills are helpful. The relationship with the developers is based on Fair Trade and though a program we call FairSource®. We work on open source software. Web Project Manager Responsibilities: • Managing web site development projects. Interacting with client on progress and refining requirements for web systems deployment (does not include graphic design). Getting approval for interactions and coordinating migrations. Monitor and report on progress to clients regularly and complete a project report at the end of the project. • Coordinating a remote development team of two to six people involved in a single project (for multiple projects). Monitoring the use of resources to maintain the progress and the budget. Coordinating and leading regular remote team meetings to ensure everyone is on task. • Additional responsibilities may include: proposal development, customer training and coordination of ongoing customer support. Requirements: • Extensive experience with at least one type of web software, preferably a content management system • Familiarity with basic web standards, HTML and CSS • Familiarity with at least one design program (ie Photoshop, Gimp, etc) • Experience managing and directing project(s) • Knowledge of one or more of the following: search engine optimization, internet marketing, usability, knowledge management, or application design. • Excellent written and oral communication skills • High personal integrity • Self-motivated and self-directed • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines • Enjoyment of problem solving • Loyalty and commitment to building a values-driven enterprise Preferred • Experience with Open Source software and the Plone content management system • Spanish language (at least written) • Wants to contribute to a fun work environment Nature of engagement: • ifPeople headquarters is based in Atlanta. We prefer you be a part of our local team. • Pay is approximately $3,000-3,500/m for full time engagement. Client Support Specialist Responsibilities: • Manage support tickets and support process for web site clients (who use the Plone content management system) Be in contact by email and phone with clients to clarify and resolve tickets • Due diligence managing support plans and billing • Oversee documentation for web sites, update and improve as knowledge is gained through the support process, including FAQ • Ability to execute support tasks requiring use of a code repository or command line (on a Linux or FreeBSD server) Requirements • Familiarity with Linux or FreeBSD operating systems including the use of the command line • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and one scripting language • Attentive to detail • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Ability to relay technical information in a clear and client friendly manner • Interest in developing and maintaining documentation • Quick, self-directed learner • Interest in learning web based applications • Organized and dependable Preferred • Experience with Open Source software and the Plone content management system • Spanish language (at least written) • Wants to contribute to a fun work environment • Knowledge of Python programming language • Experience with Zope or Plone Nature of engagement: • ifPeople headquarters is based in Atlanta.
