Timeline: Fall 2004 and Winter 2005
Summary:
In early 2005, five SOCHI (the Student Organization for Computer-Human Interaction) members volunteered their time to redesign the Peace Neighborhood Center website and design a plan for how Peace can maintain the site in the future.
Peace Neighborhood Center is a local, Ann Arbor nonprofit that provides programs for children, families, and individuals who are impacted by social and economic problems. Peace helps people discover options, enhance skills, develop attitudes and make choices that lead to self-sufficiency and positive community involvement.
The SOCHI team met with Peace in November 2004, came up with early designs in December, and from January to March crafted a new and improved website for Peace. In April 2005, the new site went live and the team transferred control of the site to Peace’s newly hired webmaster. You can see the results of their work here - www.peaceneighborhoodcenter.org.
