Friday's talk will be "Using Multimedia Tools to Strengthen Nonprofit Work and Community-Building", given by Laurie Cirivello, director, Grand Rapids Community Media Center.

For over 25 years the Community Media Center has acquired and maintained
technology tools, media services and community venues to benefit the
Grand Rapids community. Its current interest is in using new multimedia
media tools to serve the nonprofit community - basically, how can we
take the lessons from the commercial explosion of MySpace, YouTube,
video podcasting, etc. and use them to strengthen nonprofit work and
community-building?
