Develop core group of student planners (based on who shows up to advisory meetings)
From core, designate responsibilities (some responsibilities may be more fixed than others - i.e. treasurer)
Appoint a faculty/alumni/industry advisory board (this sounds more formal than it should be)

Student Group Goals

Bring in people from industry for talks/discussion
Present our own interests/ideas/findings to each other
Community service projects
* Piggy-back on other campus groups
* Team with other Non-SI campus groups (i.e. B-School community focused groups)
* Do a weekend project once each semester
* Tie into/augment Alternative Spring Break
** Help to set up projects
** Do a CIC group project
** Focus post-experience reports (add value to the student presentations after ASB experience)
** Talk with Maurita
Field trips to area organizations
* more in-depth than the glossy overview
* get ideas for service projects
* Bring us in to help the org

Student Awareness/Involvement/Visibility

Check with Laura on CIC indication for admissions applications
Add space to CIC site for student group
Create student group blog on CIC site
Do a news feed to Siclops
Update email groups

Sustainability

Alumni connection
Connect with other i-schools
Create a mini-CIC network within similar DFE projects/organizations (i.e. strategically create collaborative projects for DFE internships)
