Two recent CIC & SI alums, Garin Fons and Peter Kleymeer, were recently hired by the UM Medical School's Office of Enabling Technologies to develop the Michigan Open Course Ware (OCW) project. Several current CIC members are also employed by the Office of Enabling Technologies on a part-time basis.

Currently, their efforts are focused on the Medical School, but several CIC members are volunteering to serve as "dScribes" to assist in piloting the tool. We have selected mostly SI courses to pilot, and have recieved permission and often encouragement from professors at SI who are excited about the project. We meet weekly with the OCW team and are learning a lot about copyright law in the process of preparing for the project.
