AGRARIAN ADVENTURE What’s the organization? Agrarian Adventure is a non-profit organization working with food issues concentrated within Tappan Middle School in Ann Arbor. Agrarian Adventure has worked to create a one-acre student-run organic garden at the school that fosters learning about agriculture and locally grown foods. Through integration with the educational curriculum, the program also enables students to learn about cooking and healthy eating. Eventually, the organization aims to address issues within their own school lunch program in order to provide healthier, locally sourced, and tasty food to its students. The DFE will focus on the transition of the school lunch program.

Organization: The Stewardship Network, a Michigan non-profit with its headquarters office in Ann Arbor, has for the last 5+ years been working to develop a statewide network that will connect individuals, organizations, and businesses that are interested in and working to protect Michigan’s natural lands and waters. It seeks to make this work more effective by helping interested parties share ideas, resources, and information.

We listed class members and rotated by two to determine which DFE proposal you read and comment on. Comments due by Monday 12/11. Final posted version by Thursday 12/14. (Is that right? -- Last day of class + 1.) What to watch for:
